In a highly automated industrial environment, much of the operation are performed with industrial robots with a number of bearings, gearboxes, and joints. Compared to mineral oils they have the following advantages:
Easy cleaning of machines and no need for strong solvents as is the case with mineral oils.
Risk-free operation if the products are sensitive to oil contamination. Since Sustainalube’s products do not contain any oil there is no risk of contamination during the processes.
No allergic reactions since lubricants do not cause any skin irritation and the low vapor pressure makes the risk for “oil mist” minimal.
No fire risk because Sustainalube’s lubricants contain enough water to make the fire-resistant.
