Electric Vehicles
Sustainalube develops the lubricants for future electric vehicles. Compared to mineral oils they have the following advantages:
Extremely low friction because of the water-soluble base fluid used in the products. This will reduce losses in the transmission and increase the driving range by several percent.
Efficient cooling because of high heat capacity. This makes them interesting also for coolants of the battery pack.
No fire risk because Sustainalube’s lubricants contain enough water to make them fire-resistant.
One fluid only would be the ultimate goal. Meaning that only one fluid is used to lubricate and cool the motor, transmission, and battery pack.
